This Has To Be Quick

•January 13, 2010 • 2 Comments

Okay, I’m gonna give you a very very short update on what I was doing these days. Wait a sec… *goes to look at my blog and see my last post* Okay. I’m ready. URgh…. my brother is laughing at Phineas and Ferb (a Disney TV show.) The TV’s covering my music (Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson). Well, finally, here:

Monday- School again. Sad. Well… typical school day. Not really anything special. Oh, we had Beyonda Box and we had to do this poster about the immigration unit in class.

Tuesday- Vanilla Twilight was stuck in my head. Urgh… Again, Typical school day.

Today- Quite fun. Far Away was stuck in my head the whole afternoon. Calvin was doing something really disturbing to a table. You probably get what I mean… well, it’s the verb version on the stuff on the back of a camel. Get it now? Oh, and we found out that the poster we made on Monday got number 1 today. I’m not really that happy… I’m not SO determined to get number 1…

Yeah. That’s it. That disturbing image is still in my head… you know which image right? Oh, and I’m going to start this page that’s completely off limits for people who don’t know me. Ha. Too bad.

Some Stuff That Has To Do With What I Feel

•January 10, 2010 • Leave a Comment

If you can’t really read what’s above, here’s what it says:
Just Because…
I’m quiet- doesn’t mean I don’t have a lot to say
I’m sarcastic- doesn’t mean I don’t take it seriously
I forgive- doesn’t mean I forget
I’m stubborn- doesn’t mean I’m easy going
I don’t show my feelings- doesn’t mean I don’t have any
I’m not like you- doesn’t mean I’m weird
I’ll leave out the last sentence, doesn’t have anything to do with what I feel.

And, lastly, for the people I hate and fake to be my friends and try to get my passwords and are the worst friends:

[From your mom, Phoebe]

Kids Are Quick

TEACHER:  Maria, go to the map and find North America .

MARIA:        Here it is.

TEACHER:  Correct. Now class, who discovered America ?

CLASS:         Maria.

TEACHER:  John, why are you doing your math multiplication on the floor?

JOHN:          You told me to do it without using tables.

GLENN:       K-R-O-K-O-D-I-A-L’

TEACHER:  No, that’s wrong

GLENN:       Maybe it is wrong, but you asked me how I spell it.

TEACHER:  Now, Simon, tell me frankly, do you say prayers before eating?

SIMON:        No sir, I don’t have to, my Mom is a good cook.

TEACHER:  Clyde , your composition on ‘My Dog’ is exactly the same as your brother’s… Did you copy his?

CLYDE :        No, sir. It’s the same dog.

TEACHER:  Harold, what do you call a person who keeps on talking when people are no longer interested?

The Grave of the Fireflies

•January 9, 2010 • 1 Comment

Just now, I was watching an old Japanese movie called “the Grave of the Fireflies”. It is really sad. It’s about a boy and his sister. This story takes place in world war two, and their mother died. So the boy and his sister went to live with their aunt. Over time, their aunt became mean, so they decided to live by themselves. I can’t say anymore.

The sister loves to eat fruit drops, and those kind of fruit drops come in tin boxes. I have one box of those candies:

These candies come in super-hard-to-open covers:

Treble Clef/Alto Clef

•January 9, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Well, all of you know I play the viola, but probably you don’t know that I play the piano. Well just now, I was playing “The Swan”, and I got the alto clef and treble clef mixed up. Then I got really frustrated. Okay, I’m gonna set off to find chocolate!!! (I’m starving for a Snicker’s bar.) Hahah

Which instrument do you think is harder? The violin, viola, or cello? Personally I think the viola is harder (so that’s one vote) because it’s heavy and you don’t raise cellos with your arm. Also, violas don’t play the melody, but the harmony, so you have to have good rhythm and a good musical ear. Oh, and you have to control your bow better because the strings are thicker. But violins have to play the violin, so that is quite hard. The cello, hmm, probably the hard part about it is that you can’t see which string are you playing on easily. So these are my opinions,  here’s the space for you:

New Blog Headers

Okay, I came out with a bunch of blog headers from an e-mail Phoebe’s mom sent me (Phoebe help me say thanks please). So here they are. Please choose your favorite one (there’s a poll on the bottom). You can also choose some here (you can choose one on that post and one on this post)

Today

Today was quite a fun day. Let’s start from rehearsal in Orchestra. Okay. We practiced Harry Potter, and actually, it seems like our parts in Harry Potter are harder than the cello and violin’s part. I’m happy about that, they shouldn’t be shouting at us saying that we suck. Well they don’t anymore. The people who REALLY suck are the people who don’t understand what it’s like to play our instrument, and being the ham between two pieces of bread in a sandwich. Without the ham, the bread will not taste good. Same thing with the orchestra. Violin and cello together won’t sound good. Trust me.

Okay, then it was Chinese. We brought laptops there and viewed each others Chinese homework (which I posted on here yesterday.) Zhang Lao Shi was in a good mood, so Chinese class went by quickly.

Then it was recess. I told some important news to my friends. And then we did what we usually do: run around, walk around and chat.

Then we had literature circles. I had to give up Rosa Parks. Anyways, I did so because of ___ in my group. So then I moved to Martin Luther King Jr. What’s really funny is that two boys in my last literature circle were in Martin Luther King Jr. too. And those two are also in my Chinese class. Wesley, another boy, is also in my Chinese class.

Okay, then we did a bunch of boring stuff and I finished my literature circle homework (the book is definitely not a just right book.) Then it was lunch.

Recess was fun, we were laughing a lot. We took a ball and played hot potato. Then we started kicking the “hot potato”. Well, yeah, that’s about it.

The rest of the day was boring. Ms. Campbell kept us in until 3:03. Then I followed Melissa (well, she led the way for some reason) to the music classroom to get my viola. And now I’m back here, drinking water. :D
